I enjoyed her books but ....
I've said this before. I don't agree with well-paid people in the arts getting honours for doing their job. Similarly, sportspeople receiving a further medal for winning an Olympic medal.
Having said that, I think Judy Murray deserves her OBE. She's not just the mother of our greatest singles and doubles tennis players, but does a lot of work in encouraging kids to get into the game for fun.

well I can only go by personal experience, shared an Hotel in Tyneside with Billy for 3 nights, he was doing his show in Newcastle and travelled alone, he joined my party (on a residential course) for dinner and breakfast every day and a blether at nights, a very very nice man, very humble and down to earth, his humour is very Glasgow and perhaps some folks just don't get it at times...
Come on now, Minty.......I spent long enough in Corby to experience Glasgow humour.......I get it.......
I don't get a man who is so far up himself that he thinks he can use a dreadful, ongoing situation to try to get a laugh......and rather than realise imediately that he'd blown it he abuses his audience??
That really is not Glasgow humour....x
