Is "enough Is Enough" Enough?
What does it mean? What's the plan? Rod Liddle has one, he says;
" There are hundreds of people identified by the security services as being ‘of special interest’ because of their patent and frequently expressed wish to kill us all. Deport all of them who were not born in Britain — kick them out. The lot. Those who are British citizens should be kept under the equivalent of house arrest and jailed if they transgress the terms of that house arrest.
Of the other 20,000 who are ‘of interest’ to the security services, deport all those who are not British-born. Do not let people who have been fighting for Isis in Syria and Iraq back into the UK. Close down Islamic schools. If Muslims want to send their kids to Islamic schools, let them do so in Bangladesh or Qatar, not here. We are not yet an Islamic country.
And start investigating the mosques with a bit more rigour. How about that? "
Well, how about that?

//The Isles of Scilly is the UK’s largest archipelago. With only five inhabited islands, 140 or so more provide a safe haven for wildlife and seabirds. Some are frequented by day boats, others never visited by man at all.//

Westminster Bridge, Manchester, Borough Market, three Muslim terror attacks in three weeks. Because Britain has had the Grenfell fire disaster as a distraction, doesn't mean that the scum are not planning business as usual and another event. Those on here leaning over backwards to say there is nothing we can do, are pathetic rabbits caught staring at the oncoming headlights.
During the Second World War (when men were men), anyone under the slightest suspicion of having sympathies for the axis powers was immediately interned.

Awww Gawd, not WWII references. There's no comparison. Again, I hear your hot air 'something must be done' rhetoric Khandro but I don't see any practical solutions.
Calling people who have a firmer grasp on reality than you 'pathetic rabbits' only serves to further highlight your inability to debate as an adult.

mikey if that were a serious question
is Nize a serious answer ?
but it has been one before - as I have said before
Isle of Man was a prison island during the war
where the german civilian nationals were kept
concept pioneered by the Germans who expanded prison cities (Lwow was one - everyone inside the city was treated as a prisoner)
into prison countries ( dismembererd Poland could have been one - after the Gernans took the east and the russians the west - the rump was called 'the central administration'
yikes watch out - I was taking the issue seriously !

Zax - yeah sorry another world war two reference
we could call this Godwins Law 2
( when someone plings WW2 on AB - all rational discussion is over and was probably over well befoore)

you mean like the Duke of Windsor and Oswald Mosley and Debbo's sister ( Lady wMosley was the sister of the Duchess of Devonshire)
If this world of alternative facts,
if you dont like the hsitory as is = then just re wrie it

As I have pointed out, both myself and nalit have personal expierience that prisons play a major part in the radicalization of Muslims.
Some prisons already have over 45% of muslim inmates and the Muslim prison population throughout the entire UK prison system is at least 3x the % in the general population!
What effect do you think adding tens of thousands more disgruntled Muslims to those already in jail will have on the future of Muslim extremism? We can't keep them in jail for the rest of their lives! they will get out again, then what happens ???

It seems to me that we have two options:
As we don’t have enough security staff to keep tabs on all suspects, take the tough and unpopular action of deportation or internment (I favour the ‘island’ option) for the higher risk people, and tagging and house arrest with no internet access, or mobile phones and the house being bugged, for the lower risk suspects.
The second option is do nothing and accept that attacks are just going to become the norm, with the powers-that-be offering their usual inane platitudes whilst hoping for another news story to come along and take the pressure off.
I realize WW11 must sound like mediaeval history to many ABers, but, believe it or not, it is it is still very real to some.
The huge difference between the problem then and now is that we actually know the enemy, and are doing nothing like enough to deal with it and instead of committing 60 policemen to monitor one suspect 24/7 and the incredible cost that involves, we should deport to where they came from, those who were not born on the UK and intern the others who were.
The Governments first task is to protect its subjects and it isn't doing so. Dwell on that as we wait for the next attack and the murder of more innocent British citizens on British soil.

Imprisoning / interning thousands of Muslims would only serve to give those left behind an excuse for more terrorism. How much do you think it would cost to transport them all to an island and keep, them fed and watered for the rest of their lives?
Let's try to work that out....
£40k a year per person (source:http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/cost-of-keeping-prisoner-strangeways-12379379)
X say 12000 prisoners (half of the estimated potential terrorists) = £480m a year. Most of these are young men so let's say they live another 50 years = £24 billion, and that's not allowing for inflation! And remember it's only half the estimate.
Can we do some joined up thinking before proposing solutions?
