London Bridge Attack Officer Fought 'to Keep People Alive'

Islay seems to think that you cannot be a hero if you are in a job where you know the risks, which would preclude any member of the armed forces from receiving a medal for bravery.

The trouble with the honour system is that it's been devalued over the years with titles/medals passed out to apparently anyone doing their job. Different to differentiate between those they are awarded to. (Although some may claim it was always open to abuse and awarded to those in favour anyway.) It probably needs replacing with something with sterner criteria or scrapped altogether.
Full marks for this guy though. Wish I could claim such ability, and so glad never to have been put to the test.

Islay, can you honestly say that this man does not fit the definitioon of a hero?
