Perhaps in those countries that are not so acceptive to homosexuality, but surely there is now no longer need here?

Two or three years ago I was unfortunate enough to be “somewhere along the route of the march”, not wandering but trying to go about my business. I’m not sure whether or not I was welcome (I would like to hope I was not). This was because my priority was trying to circumvent the many hundreds of assorted weirdos and creeps marching along with their faces and hair painted a variety of colours and to make my way through the throngs who had, inexplicably, turned out to witness the lunacy. An “excellent time” was not quite how I’d describe that experience and I was (considerably) late for an important engagement.
I don’t quite know why people feel the need to take to the streets for matters such as this. Surely they can sit at home and “Tweet” to each other or send “Selfies” to their friends or whatever it is they do. If they really see the need to gather outdoors there are plenty of places they can do so where they will not inconvenience people trying to conduct their lives in one of the most congested cities in the world.

I don't see you glossing over or ignoring it, NJ......you're quite verbose on AB.....
If I'm planning a trip to London I look to see what will be happening that day and, as I did when arranging a coach trip to a show, plan my route and timings to fit......
To not do this when visiting any large city is rather lackadaisical....x

About 20 years ago I was passing a pub just off Baker Street where hundreds of rugby league supporters were drinking outside prior to getting the train to Wembley for the cup final. It was the same day as Pride. Just as I was passing them two very small gay chaps came around the corner hand in hand and wearing lederhosen. Every single supporter started laughing, bellyaching laughter, but nobody said anything. Not PC I know, but it was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
