Perhaps in those countries that are not so acceptive to homosexuality, but surely there is now no longer need here?

“…wander to somewhere along the route of the march. You'll both be very welcome and have an excellent time. :o)” Two or three years ago I was unfortunate enough to be “somewhere along the route of the march”, not wandering but trying to go about my business. I’m not sure whether or not I was welcome (I would like to hope I was not). This was because my...

New Judge appears to be very irritated that he was held up for an appointment some time ago because he was caught up in a parade that he would have been able to plan around if he did not deliberately avoid reading about anything LGBT-related. Sounds like that was all your fault, not the fault of the people marching and having a good time which had been organised months in advance.
Also - people are allowed to not be normal, New Judge, so long as they aren't hurting anyone. Get over yourself.

Re: the OP, Pride is still worth celebrating. Most countries in the world do not accept gay people or afford them equal rights - the UK is one of the few countries that does, and that is something worth celebrating. It's a genuine achievement of our culture that we allow British citizens who love people of the same sex to marry and prosper and do not imprison them or harass them or oppress them as other governments do. That is - to coin a phrase - something to be Proud of.

Now to be fair Judge there are some on here who would be speechless if you were to stop them delving into their bigot, homophobic, racist, Neo-Nazi, Fascist, Xenophobic, and Islamophobic draw.

Who said anything about the participants not being normal, Kromo? As I said, I don't care what qualities they exhibit, supposedly normal or otherwise.
Yes my explanation was about me being hindered. But that's not the nub of my point. My real gripe is that there is absolutely no need for anybody to take to the streets for reasons such as this. Streets are for getting from A to B and you can't do that if they're clogged up my marches. Yes I could have been more investigative before my trip but I didn't know I had to check out what particular foibles were being demonstrated every day when I go out for lunch.
