“…wander to somewhere along the route of the march. You'll both be very welcome and have an excellent time. :o)” Two or three years ago I was unfortunate enough to be “somewhere along the route of the march”, not wandering but trying to go about my business. I’m not sure whether or not I was welcome (I would like to hope I was not). This was because my...

They are Morris Dancers and they are not celebrating St George's Day.

It is a long ancient English tradition, but seeing that you are not of these shores, I can forgive you for your mistake.
To continue to exist a species has to breed,. To do that the genders need to feel attraction to each other not to the same gender as themselves. I don't see how anyone could question that attraction to ones own gender is not a flaw, it is not reasonably disputable. Some cross wires there somewhere. And logical deduction is not the slightest bit homophobic but the suggestion that is, is rather insulting. But all that above is self evident surely.
Talbot..gay bars are usually such fun !!
Oh and there is no judgement, save perhaps the taste for a parade. That also is insulting.
..and not every biscuit in the barrel has to be a chocolate one !!
Depends on how logical the deductions really are. It's not difficult at all to find someone purporting to think logically, but really were just racist, or classist, or sexist, or whatever. Galton's Eugenics is a good case in point -- really, he was just a snob.
lol I wondered how long it would take you to throw that in my face - AOG but sorry to disappoint you I am probably more British than you are!!
Oh and those morris dancers were celebrating St Georges day!
'not of our shores'?
Good, I welcome all opinions from all countries, some I'll agree with, others no.

OG, they can breed y'know :-)
Those Morris Dancers were at the annual Morris dancing festival.

xx
If there is a flaw in the argument given then that can be discussed. But I think we all know that denial there is an error in attraction to one's own gender is purely PC behaviour. So keen to not offend one group, one denies the reality of a situation. I reckon it's healthier to accept. It's what we all should strive for in ourselves, in others, and in general.
Good God Gness they are women!!!
Why are they not chained to the kitchen sink and oven?
I'm sure that you are aware, not with those who attract them Alb. Splitting hairs there.
It's a discussion for another time, OG, but it's also not because you're just utterly wrong, and to continue to refer to it as a flaw or error isn't about being "PC", it's about good manners and respect, both of which you are failing to show in abundance.

Anyway, I guess that answers the question. As long as people like you exist, LGBT pride events are needed.
Play it, Islay!!! There are men dancing who smiled at each other and.....wait for it......hugged!!!!!.... And on St. George's Day of all days!!! ;-)
I know OG, but when slightly riled, I can split even a split hair :-D
Oh look and they have painted faces and sill hair!!
But of course they can't be English must be from a different country!!
Oh my men hugging - hide the children they will be corrupted!!
To admit it is a flaw is just being honest. It has nothing to do with good manners and respect, both of which you seem to think needs denial/lies.

Besides which I never fail to show good manners nor respect.

As long as people like I exist, LGBT pride events will be known to be unnecessary and illogical, and make one ponder about the thought processes some others seem to have.

Sorry to had dared to add a dose of unpopular reality to the thread.
But what you are arguing is that people should be ashamed of being LGBT. Of course I'm going to accuse you of disrespect in that case, because it's simply disrespectful and rude. No other description for it.

Heaven knows what some folk think about men wearing kilts and hugging :-D
