/// If you are unable to grasp what has happened throughout history and now wish to complain that the same thing is happening in
reverse ///.
But it is not the same thing, is it?
You are missing out one very important factor, the indigenous populations of those countries didn't give up their lands easily, no they put up a fight.
Unlike us, who are just sitting back and allowing our invaders to change our lands beyond recognition.

Who's government is to blame? Who voted them into power?
And as far as your argument as to the indigenous fighting back, yeah right, spears and sticks put up a good battle versus canons, rifles etc.

//Why do they want to come?//
Most don't. Vast majoriry of refugees coming out of the middle east/north Africa go to countries in that region. The proportion coming to Europe is very small.
Those that do come here do it for all kinds of reasons. Because they know English, because they have family here (more common than you might think).
I'm all for a hard-headed logistical analysis as to how it is possible to house and process the migrants who come to Europe as there are surely limits to that which are currently being disproportionately shouldered by Italy, Greece and Germany. But this idea that they are all on the take and out to exploit the system never comes with any compelling evidence to back it up.
