This bar-steward is now probably in France and on his way to where, Belgium, Germany? there's a lot of choices for him, pity the French didn't vote in Marine.

thank goodness we are an Island !
He could be anywhere in Europe by now.
Murray, dont think being an Island, really helps keep terrorists out, and it certainly does not keep immigrants out, even the non EU ones manage to get here one way or another. so much for not being in Schengen.
gulliver, //it certainly does not keep immigrants out//

Nonsense! If that were true, why the camp at Calais?
Are you saying we don't have any illegal immigrants coming into the U.K. Naomi?
Zacs, nothing I've said implies that. What gave you that idea?
no Gulliver..but it sure helps !
I read it as being an island helps keep migrants out, not that it stops it.
It must be too early.
You're always a bit argumentative in the morning, Zacs
No I'm not! ;-)

Marine wants the French borders to be what she called "filters", not absolute gates. I drive into France regularly and apart from the sign you wouldn't know you had crossed from one country to another. When I drive into Switzerland though, I get scrutinized by both German and Swiss police and sometimes - particularly at the moment , people are getting stopped and checked, it's not as thorough as entering the UK where there is a definite passport control, which makes Britain much safer.
" Helps keeps migrants OUT, eh!.
It didn't help that the wrong person seems to have been identified. The terrorist in that article was killed apparently and the missing one is someone else.
Who knows? He could be walking a street near you.
Or living next door.
I doubt if he would yet have found the time to 'move in' anywhere.
Plenty sympathisers who would be willing to harbour him, AOG
Yet you say he could be walking around in broad daylight in the UK, ANOTHEOLDGIT?
THECORBYLOON

Are you a little short of comprehension?

There is a big difference from just walking around in broad daylight than actually moving into accommodation.
