It was very funny.

Perhaps someone should have gone to the Labour conference and handed Corbyn the keys to No 10 with a not saying I give up. Over to you.

He would have been off that stage and into his limo faster than a whippet up a drainpipe. Lol
"It was very funny " not for TM ?
As I said on the other thread on this.
It is highly significant that the Conservative Party's own security team did NOTHING ! to stop the prank.
It was the venue's security that finally stepped in to take him away.
I am certain that senior members of the party were in on it and that Boris was behind it. I am also sure that May knew it as well.
The only question is how long can she hold on?
." - a bit like Kinnochio ripping off Ronnie Reagan's speech!'

As an aside, I thought some American (not RR) ripped off Kinnock's, my daddy was a miner, speech. (may have been vice versa.)
I remember hearing that speech. It was very good whoever gave it first.
Spicerack, yes, that was Biden before he became VP; it was Kinnock's speech originally. I don't know if TTT has got it the wrong way round or if he has some other plagiarism up his sleeve; perhaps he'll tell us.
?? "up his sleeve"? I don't know why I wrote that. I just meant he might have had some other instance of plagiarism in mind.
Jno,
I did a search of Kinnock ripping off Reagan because it seemed so improbable. I found nothing, think TTT got it wrong (unless he or someone else can produce a reference to it).
Gromit....you can always tell when the Tories are losing the plot, as TTT comes out with his endless stories about Kinnock, Blair, etc, etc. Its his way of diverting attention
away from the awful week that the Tories have had so far.
I think I'd have remembered, Gromit. I do remember the Biden episode, which I think was a factor in his defeat in presidential primaries that year.

Perhaps Biden, May and Melania Trump all buy their speeches on the Dark Web somewhere in the lawless lands west of the Pecos.
jno,
Policians borrow parts of other politicans' speeches seems more acceptable than copying a fictional tv character.
I actually felt sorry for her. They'll be hoping no one much who matters was watching, but on the other hand all the worst bits will be on the news.
The letters falling off the backdrop WAS funny though. Much funnier than the "comedian" who looked a bit nerdy to me. Pretending he'd come from Boris was surely a bit insulting to Corbyn?
where were security F/FS? I mean how could this eejit get that close to the PM?
I just thought that the security there was useless and needed a major drains up. Able to approach the stage and hand things to the PM ? What were their security folk thinking ?
Question Author
Maybe they were using G4S for conference security. May is inexplicably a fan of them after all..
and these people run the country ...jeez
Can you imagine someone trying that with the POTUS? There'd have been secret service all over him like the WWF. I certainly think security needs looking at, could have been anyone. going up to the stage.
Thank goodness it was only TV's Lee Nelson, who was a doing yet another prank he is known for, and not a nut job with a knife, who's got within touching distance of the PM.

Security was a farce and appalling...the reactions of her cabinet was appalling....everything thing about it was......guess what?

Investigation into why he was allowed to get so close should now be essential.
How did the comic get so close to the eejit ?.
Its all down to the Tory Party. The chap had a accredited pass for the event.
