La Vegas Shooter Radicalized?
'Las Vegas authorities now acknowledge mass murderer Stephen Paddock may have been “radicalized” before his bloody rampage Sunday at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival but they won’t say what species of radicalism the shooter may have embraced.'
So said the sheriff but wouldn't elaborate.

I think it is important to not jump to conclusions and accredit it to ISIS, this just gives them more publicity and furthers their aim of terrorism.
//
IF this was an ISIS operation, then Trump, the NRA, and the alt right will have to accept far stricter gun control as part of anti terror measures//
What nonsence, do you really think ISIS care about the law?

The speculation which we are debating comes from two interlinked concepts.
The first is rolling news, which must bed 'saying something' all the time, even if there is nothing to say. The truth is, as Naomi and others have pointed out several times, that no-one knows why this man acted as he did, but that won't fill news bulletins, hence the speculation, which gives the news media something to pretend to talk about, even though it is actually meaningless.
The second is something I have advised several times - which is the need for humanity to find reasons for massive events in the world.
Our minds are unhappy with the vague (but probably entirely realistic) notion that 'things just happen because they happen and there is no point looking for a reason because there is no reason to be found', so we look to find solid ground because that comforts us and enables us to move on.
Step forward the conspiracy theory which is the entirely natural result of the concept explained above.
If there is no real reason for something, let's invent one, however bizarre and far-fetched it may seem, it still beats the alternative, simply accepting that 'things happen, and that's it...' which is the reality of the world we live in.

Khandro, it is not ideal to put things down to 'just happening'.
However sometimes it really is just that. There is no expanation available for some actions and in my opinion it is far worse to compartmentalise something incorrectly.
If it can be proved ISIS are involved fine, let it out. But if not why give them the oxygen of publicity or Kudos that they crave for something they didnt do?

A-H may be a plonker but the reality of American politics and gun laws does indeed pretty means mean that "these things happen, and that's it".
It will be a while until we see something on this scale, if at all, but since nothing has changed or is going to in order to stop this sort of incident, it's essentially a given that it will happen again. And again. And even in the background, mass shootings on a smaller but still horrific scale occur essentially daily.
These things happen. And that's it. And I wish it were not, but there is no will to take the steps needed to make sure that it is much less likely to happen again.
