Why Have We Never Had A Female Labour Prime Minister?r?
61 Answers
Labour have never chosen a female PM, yet the Tories have had two, both of which have been extensively criticised by Labour, can we take it from this that Labour are against the idea of placing a woman in charge of the country?

It's my great regret that Angela Eagle didn't stand against Corbyn, as I think she might - might - have won.
Otherwise it's a bit of an anomaly that the Tories have had two female leaders. Obviously there will be a female Labour leader one day. When the right person comes along.

Well.......what do you mean by female?
Tory female MP's are easily distinguishable....they look good, dress well and act as females.
Labour has a problem.....at least one of them, acts and looks like a male and prefers females as sexual partners......now could she qualify as a future female PM?
That would be debatable.
The other contenders.....well....i accept that they ARE females, but not my idea of a woman, in looks, demeanor or action.

"Thus Labour are only occasionally trusted and therefore have many fewer opportunities to have a female PM. "
Certainly there have been more years of Tory rule in the more recent era, but convincing Tory election victories are also becoming something of a rarity. The (with hindsight) dizzy heights of 2015 are also beginning to look like an anomaly
