I have read the article and agree a coordinated strategy is needed, if at any point during the clamp down people need scanning on entering a building or searching if they are acting in a way suspicious enough to warrant it then that too may be a consideration.

Oh so if a knife crime has been committed in a potentially black area by a group of black teenagers, then so as not to offend, the police should also go into the neighbouring white area and stop and search little old white ladies.
