Unfortunately it will just push the violence onto streets in the West both by returning Jihadi's and future converts.

And of course, in the UK, mean even more housing shortage as priority housing is given the the returnees.
Whoo hoo!

Assad and the Russians have won, despite UK and the US aiding IS.

Gromit I had no idea you were an IS fan. I will need some evidence that the US/UK have been aiding IS. I agree that it's a question of who are the worst but I do not think even on planet muesli that the US/UK are IS supporters.
// British, Danish and Australian warplanes took part in the U.S.-led coalition's airstrike Saturday that reportedly killed more than 60 Syrian government troops and threatened to unravel the "cessation of hostilities," military officials said Monday.
Russia and Syria charged that the attack was evidence that the U.S. was secretly supporting ISIS and was intent on disrupting the cease-fire. //

They, as you well know, are doing their best to protect civilians caught up in this, they are not supporting IS they are doing what they can to prevent the evil Assad regime murdering it's own people. Very distasteful of you to equate defending the defenceless with aiding IS. Still that's the anti western left wing way isn't it? That's why I said the bad guys and the really bad guys above.

gone a bit quiet gromit??
Don’t be thick Tora,
IS invaded Syria, and were helped by the west bombing the Syrian army. We never admitted our actions were aiding IS, or ‘the Syrian Rebels’ as we euphemistically used to call them. The wests policy was always to ofherthrpugh Assad, and let the Islamics take over.
Question Author
perhaps they were helped but that is not the intention as you imply. Sometimes to defend the oppressed there are unwanted side effects. You are being thick if you cannot see that. Do you think the west went in to help IS? really ?
