If anyone other than YMB is having trouble with understanding this extremely ordinary post I'd be really glad to hear it, I think it's simple, makes perfect sense and is easy to understand- what were you having trouble with YMB?

YMB - // //In this instance of course it's offensive because it was intended to be, he was dressing Kim Jong Un,//
Has he told you that? //
No - I am making an assumption based on Mr Walliams' acknowledged enjoyment of controversy, and I think my assumption is reasonable, but it is just that - my assumption.
// Sorry but people like you are what is very wrong in this world. //
No need to apologise for being wrong, we are very accepting here on the AB you know.
// Far too PC. //
I am many things, but 'PC' is definitely not one of them!
// Just get a life. //
Got one, but thanks for the advice.

The ridiculous nonsense means that all fancy dress parties are off, that's a positive result by the way, as by their definition people are making themselves into someone or something else. Is dying one's hair still allowed? I would like to see the split between those feeling offended for themselves and those enjoying their martyred offence-feeling on behalf of others. If it sounds as though I don't take this seriously, you're not wrong.
as some one else would certainly say

/// oops sozza
must have been SIngapore Feb 1942
by which time my Dad had been 'in the bag' for 2 1/2 y ( Dunkirk ) and had .... 2 1/2 to go ///
/// yeah but ABers had worked that out ///
Yeah one of them has, and according to my calculations the period, June 1940 (Dunkirk) until February 1942 (the fall of Singapore) is only 1 Year 8 months.
So if your Dad was interned by the Germans at Dunkirk he had only been 'in the bag' for 1 year 8 months by the fall of Singapore.
Whatever all this as got to do with this thread.
