''The shooter is Devin Kelley, a white athiest male from New Braunfels, Texas. As it turns out, he was a far left Antifa member ( or sympathiser ) and had discussed shooting up white conservative churches. But I guess biased mainstream media will try with all it’s might to hide this news so that they can forward their crooked agenda for gun control. Seems like liberals have stopped so low in their agenda and hatred that they’ll murder anyone who'll disagree with them. Another noteworthy fact is that this shooting would have resulted in much more deaths if it occurred in liberal states for innocent civilians wouldn't have had any guns to protect themselves. In this case , a good Samaritan and responsible gun owner engaged the shooter in a gunfight due to which the shooter fled from the scene leaving his gun behind. Though unconfirmed, he was probably shot dead by the chasing concealed carry holder. If not for the great gun laws of Texas, many more innocent lives would've been lost. It’s time to get armed and protect yourselves from bloodthirsty liberals. God bless Texas!!!''

Another tragic and pointless loss of lives!
One cannot help but think that Trumps and some on here would be jumping up and down on the spot spitting feathers out had it been a person of colour and differing religion that had commit this horrible act!
Well we do have someone jumping up and down on the spot spitting feathers out ... is it cos the shooter iz white?

There's no doubt that the most determined criminals would be able to get hold of guns if they wanted to no matter the laws put in place. But that seems to amount to an argument running along the lines of "we can't stop every gun crime, so why even try to stop any?"
What about, for example, anyone who comes to a relatively spontaneous decision? If you can just walk into a Walmart and buy a gun, that's going to make it a lot easier to get hold of one than if you had to explore the criminal underground, or know the right people, or whatever less above-board routes to get hold of illegal weapons British criminals use.
At any rate, it's pretty clear -- based on the UK and Australia in particular -- that gun laws work for drastically reducing the rates of such crimes. It's impossible to stop them altogether, but preferable to allowing them to continue unabated.
But, no -- already Trump has come out and said that this is not a gun issue, and already many other lawmakers have said the same or very soon will, and after yet another massacre the US wring their hands, pray a little, and then let it happen again.
