To expand on 3T's analogy: What the cabbie is insisting on is that the fare and certain (two) details of the destination be settled before the speed, route, etc. are worked out.

It will be too much. Because that is all the EU are interested in. They know trade deal or not, trade will carry on.

Mind you what I want to know is, what does it mean by 'no member of the EU would loose out financially as a result of the Brexit vote'

Loose out for how long? Forever? Which would mean paying forever. Until this financial round is finished? Which I think is 2020? Until we exit? Which is 2019.

Utterly ridiculous suggesting they are giving the UK a fortnight. The arrogance is unbelievable. Either they want to discuss the issues or they don't. It's their own time they're wasting if they're serious about wanting a trade deal. Looks like they don't.
