Notice how the Guardian has mentioned that a right-wing group has asked for a boycott of Greggs? does it matter what political leaning they are, it is still an insult to Christians, had it been another religion they would have gone further than that, people would be dead.

I dont think it is an insult to Christians, it's the way our country is. It is only of late with the import of another certain religion has intolerance and taking the mick out of ones self been made 'illegal'.

You do realise that Christ was a Jew right, and even if you argue that he wasn't, his parents absolutely were and that it's against the laws of Kashrut to eat anything pork based, and that Christ is a great prophet within Judaism just as he is to Muslims too? Likewise therefore they are offending Jews and Muslims as well and this is a rather self defeating thread.

Oh I'm sorry Naomi, fair enough the traditional era of Prophesy ended with Malachi, so I'll rephrase it to please your pedantic little self. Christ is still an important figure in Judaism, alright? Doubtless you'll argue that as well because that is your nature, but my Jewish family, and a lot of other progressive Jewish people hold Christ in high regard, even though they don't think he was the Messiah . Is that bland enough for you?

I'm actually not religious in the accepted sense, Vulcan, everyone is born into a family who has at some point or another historically adopted some religion or other, my mother's just happens to be Jewish. I'd be just as irritated by some posters if I were a Christian, Muslim, Hindu or agnostic.
