Five Killed After Stolen Car Crashes
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -englan d-42128 009
"Five people, including three children, killed after stolen car crashes into tree in Leeds - two boys in custody"
No other news at present, but it sounds like a dreadful waste of life.

What a stupid waste of life. The kids were 12 and 15 years old. Their poor families.

Two of the dead have been named, they were brothers.

on the BBC news this morning (other news programmes are available) they mentioned one of the dead was a 28 year old father of 2 with a 3rd on the way.
Was the man lacking something?
What on earth was he thinking allowing youngsters to be in a stolen car?
Did he steal it?
Am sure more info will be forthcoming in due course.

I haven't commented on this before, because it wasn't clear who was/wasn't in the vehicle.
If the post from Jomlett is correct, then it confirms my feeling that the only people I have any sympathy for are the poor owner of the stolen car and the emergency services who had to deal with the aftermath of the accident.
The families may be grieving, but then the thieves who die in these events are always "loveable rogues" or "good as gold really" - which (to be harsh, but I think fair) is a load of old dingo's kidneys - they were lawbreakers who finally got some comeuppance, rather than cocking a snook at the rest of society.

Dave, be careful. Saying you have sympathy for the owner of stolen vehicle will have aog's wrath visiting you
(aye, being savaged by a sheep lol)
If what jomlett has posted is true (I have no reason to doubt otherwise) then to hang with them quite frankly. Still have no idea what on earth was going through the minds of the 24 and 28 yr olds- shocking.

The never tell the truth, right little toerag
you know this 12-year-old toerag? He's obviously at fault for not asking to see the car's logbook, as I'm sure you always did before getting into a car when you were 12. But I'd like to know the basis of your knowledge of his character and general worthlessness.
