Mistletoe fumble without consent is rape, police warn. That is a headline in today's 'Times' newspaper.

I always thought that I understood the word 'rape' and what it meant but obviously not.

You cannot have a rape without penetration.

Does one have a link to this rubbish?
Rape is a statutory offence in England and Wales. According to the law, rape occurs when one person penetrates another with their penis without the consent of the person being penetrated. If a victim is forcefully penetrated with an object, this is classed as "Assault by Penetration" (section 2).
I am not sure exactly what a "Mistletoe fumble"

But if its an attempt to get a kiss, then to align that with rape is plain daft.

They may get away with calling it indecent assault, but even that is a bit of a stretch.
Not just POTUS who should leave Twitter alone.
another load of twaddle, they should know better.
What a lot of old codswallop. I never fail to be amazed at the rubbish we keep reading of late.
right I've cancelled my mistletoe order!
AOG...I would like to think that they could !

To my best knowledge, that photo was taken at a parade in New York, to celebrate the end of the 2nd World War, and I am sure that a lot worse than that happened that day.

Page 5 in the 'Times' but I don't know how to do a link, sorry.
Times is behind a paywall, links above do it.
Actually, if you now read what the woman in that photo posted by AOG has said about that kids, you would cringe.
My goodness, the things that make the news nowadays ! I'd love to be kissed under the mistletoe ...
If I grab my husband under the mistletoe for a kiss without his prior consent - does that mean I've raped him?

If I offered him the opportunity to be raped under the mistletoe - he'd snatch my arm off.

*kiss
