The UK is the best country in the world, always thought so, always said it.
Unfortunately we are ruled by twits (Labour and Conservatives) who do us a disservice.
You mistake croticising our leaders, and the things they do for criticism of the country. They are entirely different. I am not going to support Mrs May because she is the British Prime Minister, if she is plainly rubbish.

I've had people say the same thing about me, but I love England, more than anyone can ever realise, however there are times when I despair of the government and of the way some elements of UK society seem hell bent on living in some sort of rose tinted empire years delusional Elysium where we are a mighty power vanquishing 'johnny foreigner' and imposing our will on the rest of the world, when actually what we should imho be aiming for is a more open, fair and inclusive society where borders are taken down not put up. Because I disagree with Brexit etc does not mean that I 'hate' my country, it means I love my country but disagree what is best for it as a whole. I imagine the same is true of Gromit etc
The anger and bitterness displayed both here and elsewhere is a result of the incessant blundering around in a fog.
People were misled and expected things to move and all they have is inertia, this breeds frustration.
We will never all agree but it's easier to pick someone to blame from the other team than kick your Captain in the shins.

The voting in the Referendum was as follows :::::
LEAVE ::::::17,410,742
REMAIN::::16,141,241
On a good, 72.2% turn-out.
I am not arguing about the result, and I accept it, but what would the situation have been, if the figures were reversed ?
Would the Remainers have just wandered off to lick their wounds, never to be heard of again ?
