Ghastly neanderthal, that's still not even 1 year per victim, however it's not a short sentence and I'm glad he's off the streets.

Just read that - good.

indeed, appalling attack, all those people scarred for life.

Question Author
he is off the streets, lets hope they sentence all those that throw acid at people to a very tough sentence.
savage will be out in 12.
Question Author
maybe not..
It's interesting you should quote 25 years on your question title, emmie. The BBC report says 20 years. But the BBC main news said 25, whilst the local news said 20.

In truth he has been sentenced to 20 years (of which he will serve 10) with an extra five years "on licence".
another low life out on suspenders, should have been in jail anyway.
Jailed for 20 years? He's 25 years old. Sounds reasonable but, how many years is he likely to serve ?
See above.
Question Author
the news reader said 25 years then the voice over said 20 years.
so he won't do nearly all that, so what is the point of sentencing them to 25 years..
terrible crime - glad he got this
such stupid gormless behaviour
Sorry missed above post. This man will in fact serve 10 years ? Pathetic justice system .

blipped my comment, why..
should have been 7 years for every pH notch under or over 7.......
Good, but out in 10 is not enough.
"should have been 7 years for every pH notch under or over 7......."

Of course it would have been under 7 where acid was involved.
// Good, but out in 10 is not enough.//

Less than 10 I reckon. Still, it could have been worse. He could have been sentenced to ten and been out in four.
An appropriate sentence in my view.

As for the post about "every notch above or below pH 7, would you have jailed him for 28 years for throwing vinegar over someone? (Vinegar has a pH of approximately 2.5 to 3.0)

That is not to make light of what he did, it was an horrendous crime.
