The Head of the Hunt said; "It's magnificent that so many well-wishers make such a huge effort to get here to show their support."

Do you think it is "magnificent"? Are you a "supporter"?

No & No
not a supporter at all, they should shoot them if necessary but sending in a pack of dogs seems vile way to behave.
i once took great satisfaction at pointing in the opposite direction when asked by a hunt which direction the fox had gone ...

no and no
Torturing and killing for fun.
If the 'well-wishers' saw the way in which the foxes get ripped to pieces, the may have a different view. I have seen numerous and it is not a pleasant sight.

No evidence of any cruelty there, just an assault on a Female.

^^ //No evidence of any cruelty there,..//
Killing an animal in a most barbaric way just for fun, seems to have support.
As the landowners have the judiciary and the police in their pockets, I'll lay odds that nothing will come of this!
Personally I'm against the ban. Really could not care less if it is unpleasant for foxes or not.
(and yes I have seen them)
It's ILLEGAL, but they still do it. I don't hold out much hope for a 'police investigation' ...
Khandro and I rarely agree on anything but this seems to be one of those rare occasions when it can occur.

I live in Suffolk (although about 35 miles from Great Thurlow) and I can assure you that we're not all hunt supporters around here. Indeed, I know of very few such people.

Khandro,

///No evidence of any cruelty there///

Your link gives no evidence of any cruelty at all, so how can I be supporting it?
Grow up!
Playground again Baldric??
I am not sure that any animal killing carried out here is anything but cruel (except possibly putting an animal out of its misery by a vet)....setting dogs to rip another animal apart is not sport and is cruel. Thus I agree with the no +no answers already stated here
Not to be blunt, but who cares if it is cruel?

These hunts need to happen to control the population, and the idea that you can hunt an animal humanely is just not realistic.

Shooting them is (to use the hysterical language of "dogs tearing them apart") is puncturing the animal's skin and organs with searing hot lead, causing internal bleeding and serious pain. Traps involve shattering bones, tearing off skin, amputation, strangulation or (if positioned correctly), drowning.

Hunts are necessary, and hunting is not humane. The ban is just a superficial but effective crowd-pleaser.

Kromo; //Hunts are necessary, and hunting is not humane.//

You obviously know nothing on this subject. I can tell you that foxes are bred in captivity in England for released into the wild to be hunted, and that is a fact.
Do you live in the town or country?
Evidence? Surely the Sabs have proof of this fox farming.
Do you live in England Khandro - do you have any evidence of that?
I have ridden on several hunts and can tell you that the foxes hunted were wild and not bred in captivity!
