I am guessing that the second-hand car dealers will be having a bumper start to 2018, as that is an awful lot of cars. Nobody injured thank goodness.

There will probably be about 10000 insurance claims for burnt out cars.
that is the main thing, no injuries, a car you can replace, but not people.
// 8 sets of alloy wheels and tyres were saved.//

and another 50 sets are missing and unaccounted for
on the news earlier they were talking about reports of dogs in cars - but then the story cut out so i idnt hear if there were any or not - anyone know?

Haven't heard about any dogs.....I would hope that there wasn't any, but with 1400 cars involved, its probably likely.

But does everyone know that there were no sprinklers fitted, in what, by its very nature, must be a highly flammable place ?

Isn't that amazing ?
I hear they found some undamaged cars on the roof area.....there were dogs inside those, Mikey.......so the latest news reported....x

That is dreadful Gness.
It's probably an average night in Kabul, Baghdad or Belfast.....at least nobody was hurt.
6 dogs have been rescued and reunited with their owners.

From the OP Link
The Liverpool International Horse Show has been running at the arena, which has a total capacity of 11,000, since 28 December.
Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson tweeted that everyone was safe and no animals had been hurt.
He said some horses that were on the first floor of the multi-storey car park had been moved inside the arena.

From the BBC Link ::::

"The fire chief said a sprinkler system could have stopped the fire, which began accidentally, from spreading"
bumper start, lol
so a parked car bursts into flames, no passengers in it?

How could that happen? Arson not unknown in Scouseland?

Speculation of course.
and a vid captured of the car going up....suspicious me thinks, one for the AB Plods....?
Question Author
ubasses....good news then, but do you have a reliable link please ?
Do you think the Ins companies will check every car before they pay up, as there are bound to be some dodgy claims, for items that were supposedly left in the cars?
I think I may harm myself if this carries on.
