Nice indeed. Unsure the perpetrator will learn the error of his ways from it though, but fingers crossed.
They've obviously got a different sort of Muslim over the pond.
“but fingers crossed.”

Had this have happened in certain countries, he may have not any fingers to cross.

Nice story of compassion and forgiveness though.
always good to hear a positive story gromit and well done to those in that mosque. A step in the right direction but to counterbalance all the bad stuff, as a religion, they have a long way to go.
A kind attitude, ta Gromit.
" but to counterbalance all the bad stuff, as a religion, they have a long way to go"

TTT...would you have posted the above remark if he had been convicted of vandalising a church, and the local Vicar has paid his fine ?

Can I just remind some people on here, that this chap was convicted of vandalism in the first place.
mikey, yes, if the church had been committing acts of terror world wide for the last 20 years or so.
Just a note to say that, had it been a church that had been vandalised for atrocities committed in the name of a Christian God then it would have been an historic crime from centuries ago and not one to appear on News24.
The chances of a genuine hot-blooded rage would be somewhat less.

You're really just reinforcing your stated position with that post eh Mikey?

To err is human, to forgive divine but be very sure you've picked your erring location with great care. Other reactions are possible.
That is Rolex TTT, and you know it.

The "church" as you put it, or the Mosque has not been committing acts of terror world wide for the last 20 years.....some extremist followers have.

But that isn't the point.....you quite rightly praised the Mosque, but forgot to condemn the man for the vandalism.
ok mikey for my 18:56 answer: for church read christians ok?
I condemn the man for vandalism as I do all low life criminal scum, I thought that went without saying.
wonder if that would happen over here..
I suppose it's just too difficult for some abers to say nice / charitable gesture ?
Six years imprisonment seems a bit excessive for graffiti. Well done the mosque though. A bit more 'charity' like this wouldn't go amiss from the muslim community.
TTT....the trouble is, you didn't say it but you did find room to make your comments about Islam, which has nothing whatsoever to do with this case.
anne; "I suppose it's just too difficult for some abers to say nice / charitable gesture ? " not at all which is why I said: "always good to hear a positive story gromit and well done to those in that mosque" at 17:58
Nailit.......I am sure that Muslims are as dedicated to providing charity as anybody else is.

Look at the help and assistance that they gave the victims of the Grenfell disaster in those early hours and days, while the Local Council were still faffing about
aren't we getting a bit carried away? so some muslims somewhere did a good deed, great well done. That does not suddenly attone for all their past acts of terrorism world wide does it? I'm sure the families of the victims of the 2 towers were delighted that this particular mosque helped some low life vandal. In fact it's worth pointing out that if this kind of thing is so rare that it warrants an emotional outpouring that perhaps we should not get mesmerised by it.
I would be interested to see what if anything Trump says about this.
He has spent enough time condemning Muslims.
Ha ha...you know when you look at a title of a thread, and you can predict exactly what will be said and by whom.

I actually feel like a wizard.

Probably more Paul Daniels than Gandalf, but a wizard none the less.
