When will he understand that he’s yesterday’s man and that Brexit is going to be ushered in. Control is out of his hands - and his frustration is palpable.

"Watching events in Iran with concern. Vital that citizens should have the right to demonstrate peacefully."
"We regret the loss of life that has occurred in the protests in Iran, and call on all concerned to refrain from violence and for international obligations on human rights to be observed."
Also on facebook:
"The UK is watching events in Iran closely. We believe that there should be meaningful debate about the legitimate and important issues the protesters are raising and we look to the Iranian authorities to permit this.
We also believe that, particularly as we enter the 70th anniversary year of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, people should be able to have freedom of expression and to demonstrate peacefully within the law.

Togo's right, there has so far been nothing I'm aware of from the Labour camp (except for a somewhat confused call for solidarity against the regime " and against U.S. interference" by Owen Jones).

He is of course quite right: labour has plainly adopted a tactic of say as little as possible about Brexit (or indeed a lot else) and let the Tories feck things up. This tactic is quite understandable and is proving quite effective. If you feel strongly about Brexit tho - one way or the other - then it is exceedingly frustrating. From a Remain point of view labour oilfield do a lot more to hold the government to account but is quietly and deliberately failing to do so. Of course this should be no surprise as Corbyn is anti EU and always has been. Hadn’t changed his mind on anything in 40 years as the popular wisdom has it. Possible longer
