Keeping your supporters onside isn't a difficult thing to think of. But die-hard supporters aren't going anywhere anyway. Maybe it was more about staying leader than winning votes/elections.
Mikey, //Its the Tory Party's inability to understand the public abhorrence of hunting wild animals with dogs that continues to surprise me.//
But Mrs May does understand it – that’s why she’s abandoned the vote.
//"As prime minister, my job isn't just about what I think about something, it's actually about looking at what the view of the country is," she said.//
Commendable I’d say.
(Do you know what Machiavellian means? I think not).
Can't really argue with that OG. The problem arises when certain people take it further to prevent people they see as toffs enjoying a day out. Without killing foxywoxy.
It's about trusting the "toffs" are just enjoying the ride over land they've permission to be on. The two sides tend to be cynical of the other's intentions.
so they revert to allow the hunts to go ahead, that would be unconscionable in my opinion, but what does that say about our country of so called animal lovers.
