is to present the Bafta awards.

A good choice, I would think.

Are the Americans aware of her.
If not I bet they will fall in love with her voice and accent.

OK ta, Quizzy.
Funnily enough though, I don't. Ab Fab passed me by.
she could do a good job, hasn't Stephen Fry stepped down after doing it for so many years?

He has Emmie.
stephen fry is one reason i dont watch the baftas i just cant take his bumbling way of speaking
I think she is gorgeous, and I couldn't give a flying firkin whether the Yanks know her at all !

Its the BAFTAS not the ruddy Oscars !
many moons ago i was her postie lovely lady always had a quick chat if i delivered a parcel to her
Sorry but her voice and accent just grate on me. Never watch anything she is in, so the ba's on the slates as far as the BAFTAS go.
The Baftas is not something I make a point of watching, but I like her and I think she'll do a good job.
I doubt that many Americans would watch a British awards show.
The Chair you may be wrong about that, we produce fine actors and many have gone along to have good careers in Hollywood, so why not show the Baftas, especially if Americans are involved.
BBC America does the BAFTAS. Doesn't sound like the sort of thing many Americans would watch. Also it is not shown live.
at least it should take her mind off looting the public purse to pay for bridges nobody needs.
Can't stand the woman, can't stand the BAFTA's but good luck to her anyway.
