She said they told her not to worry, because they had lots of other cases that would ensure the man was put away for a very very long time, so they didn't need her evidence.
Imagine how she feels now, after he's been let out early, and they're still not going to review her case, or any of the others.

// and now also unbelievable they're effectively going to ignore 100 other potential crimes he's committed.//
I am glad some of the potential crimes I have committed have been ignored - especially the one of taking photographs where I would have to have hovered 20-40 ft in the air AND light had to travel around corners.
The potential victim apparently commented - so what ?
oh and the one where I hadnt exhibited my disabled disc in the parking space when I had a photo showing ... I had. phew !

I understand that the police told several victims that their evidence was not needed.....Where did that come from...I suspect from relatively high up...the police on the street (sorry there appear to be none left) did not decide that so who did. I think this whole thing stinks from start to finish.......I was listening to a victim and the impact on her whole life has been devastating....who thinks it is ok that he is not punished for every crime he committed...or is that the way forward...choose any crime out of 20 that someone has committed to be the one that goes to court....
// Cases involving historic sex acts against [dead] celebs are pursued and brought to Court, so why can't these [against a live person], which imo are far worse. //
erm do you think the two are connected - in that the live one can present a defence whereas an allegation against a dead one is a slam-dunk
