About ten years ago all I knew about Sweden was Volvo, Saab, Abba and nude mixed saunas and possibly Ikea ... Is the Swedish PM and the moderate party leader Ulf Kristersson doing a Trump and making stuff up?

"I know most ABers want to ignore Sweden on concentrate on America (for some reason) "

Bizarre I call that.
Give me Sweden any day :-)
Nothing is happening in Sweden.
The aBBC and our very own left wing brains trust say so.
What has Lithuania got to do with Sweden?

I see Ich has gone for the 1971 b-side 'ting a ling a loo' approach.

I must confess to not understanding your question (that's yet another t-shirt I guess) but a cursory glance through the links recalled a very similar one story about Lithuania to link number 4, so I thought I would post it.
I am not sure what the point of this thread is.

Not that difficult really.

Is (or 'are' if you like) the Swedish PM and the moderate party leader Ulf Kristersson doing a Trump and making stuff up?

I'm sure every ABer remembers
''Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible''

And for that statement he was ridiculed, the Swedish PM Stefan Löfven got stuck into Trump and said it was nonsense ... well, it is actually looking like he was talking nonsense.
yes?
no?

And yes, anyone either totally ignoring what is happening in Sweden or pretending nothing is happening in Sweden makes you a far better person than me and I congratulate you on that ... well done.
There are visibly serious problems with integration, which seem linked very heavily to the problems of dealing with unaccompanied child refugees.

https://www.spectator.co.uk/2016/09/how-sweden-became-an-example-of-how-not-to-handle-immigration/

This article describes, for instance, how difficult it is to support and integrate children who come without families (and how it is possible for young adults to pose as children maliciously) and how such children often end up in exploitable positions, either for sex trafficking or gangs. As far as I can tell, this seems far, far more likely to happen in the case of children (or young adults) than it does for more mature refugees.

I don't know what the solution is, exactly, but I'm not convinced that the solution is simply not to take in any unaccompanied child refugees because they are more difficult, as that seems certain to condemn them to death.
Also, while I don't wish to downplay the seriousness of the gun crime, sending in the army does seem like quite a significant over-reaction. I don't know anything about Stefan Lofven but I would hope he was "not ruling it out" to look tough rather than as a serious policy consideration.
Having gone back to check Trump's remarks on Sweden (which I hadn't remembered), it seems he was mocked more specifically for citing a terror attack in the country which had not happened:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/feb/19/sweden-trump-cites-non-existent-terror-attack

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-39021599/trump-look-at-what-happened-last-night-in-sweden

Specifically, in the same speech you quoted, he said "You look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden" - when nothing had happened. He was subsequently ridiculed by people taking the "Last Night in Sweden" quote and (I think) turning it into a hashtag or something similar. Is there a reason you left that part out, Togo?
^^? What was that about? I haven't posted............YET!
Talbot. I meant Talbot.

Apologies, Togo, I get the two of you mixed up sometimes.
//“This is the new Sweden; the new, exciting dynamic, multicultural paradise that so many here in this assembly ... have fought to create for so many years,” he said sarcastically. //

Mr Lofven's paymasters in the EUSSR will not be happy with him then. As ever the policies of our social engineers implode, the far Right gain ground on the back of them.........and predictably blame the Jewish people, riots and violence ensue.........Now where have I heard of this happening before. Take a look at the Identitarian movement in Germany. You have been warned.

Haha........WHAT? I have never been so insulted in my life. (^_*)
To me the biggest problem we are facing is highlit by Togo.

The Liberal Left have embarked on a massive hand wringing exercise, and although actually a minority they have wormed their way into positions within society with great influence.

From there they have been shutting down debate and not listening to the masses which is leading to a festering undercurrent and 'the masses' looking for an outlet. That outlet, as usual comes from the extremes (mainly far left in the UK and far right in Europe). This is not good for anyone but the blinkered Liberal left just keep on going. It will end in tears - again.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
I know most ABers want to ignore Sweden on concentrate on America (for some reason)

What?

Where has this come from?

Has there been a collective avoidance of mentioning Sweden?

What's going on here?
