Are men becoming worse, or is it being reported more now?

From Hollywood, to the fashion industry, to sports, to Westminster, to television - in the past couple of years on an almost daily basis, we have been seen stories of men abusing their position - grooming, assaulting, raping, molesting and so on.

Is it because women are more likely to come forward (even those there are some who want them to be 'named and shamed' should their claim of assault/rape not be upheld), or something more insidious about men in the 21st century?

thank heavens for today then - surely those pranks don't happen any more.
I think workplace bullying was and still is going on..
"The Presidents Club" -
awfully unfortunate name ...
Was supposed to be "Men only" yet plainly wasn't
I'd ask for my money back
I doubt it Emmie,This was common in the wool mills which are now non-existent.
I find this sort of behaviour totally reprehensible but how is it any different from women going to shows to watch, grope and more on male strippers. At least proceeds were going to a good cause although this in no way excuses the mens behaviour.
is this about the fact of the girls being groped and harassed at that men only function last night, the girls told to wear skimpy outfits, i would have refused the job to be honest.
many of those like Great Ormond Street Hospital are going to give the money back apparently.
Others have pledged to do the same.
Crap...completely different. Male strippers encourage it, from what I've seen, these were waitresses, they were hired to serve drinks not to have hands put up their skirts.

You go to a female strip club and there's a no touching rule. There's a reason for that!
this charity event has been going 33 years, why have we only heard about this now. Have the women finally had enough and complained.
emmie, were the girls told to wear skimpy outfits?
Naomi, on the news last night one of the girls said as much.
yes they were going on the news last night and matching underwear, appalling as i said.
Danny, If that is true, I'm surprised they took the job.
me too ^^
Emmie...it was an undercover reporter who blew the whistle. Not the girls.
// Have the women finally had enough and complained.//

and returned their £200 fee for attending - saying no no this is thirty pieces of silver !
no I dont think they have

The thing about this - is that the girls have a choice
they dont turn up, they dont get paid and they don't get groped. job er done!

are we gonna get the leddies of the night saying
"I dont mind taking money from the punters but by god you have no idea what they want me to do!"
( an wiv da journos finking "oh yes we do!")

this is the bit I have difficulty wiv
saying yes to the fee (£200 one off)
and no to the service....
If the agency laid out in the terms of contract what was expected of the young women on the night then I'd agree with PP - let's see if they'll show that in print.
Crossed posts there.
It was a reporter who broke the story. Not the girls.
