Wolfie....I agree, but the very idea that anybody could have done these things all those years ago, was considered outlandish at the time. See my wiki link.
But something that the scandals unearthed by Savile, Cyril Smith, etc, have shown us that anything was possible in those days.
I hope to goodness that we have learned something now, and that this kind of thing is much less likely to happen nowadays.

Really davemano? I don’t understand the law, people with sexual convictions getting jobs with kids, people with convictions of violence getting jobs in care homes, no doubt we’ll soon hear that someone in the United Nations has convictions for being a nazi war criminal.
