By the way, she appears to have incriminated herself, as the note went on to say "If this van is for anyone but Number 14 then you have no right to be parked here".

So stupid as well as ignorant !
I think your 'evidence' is possibly a little flawed, mikey.

I think if I was writing a similar note (which I wouldn't - I'm not an anti-social idiot), I might deliberately use the house number of an enemy in the street ... just saying ...
I read this and it seem unclear what she was moaning about. Ok the ambulance was outside her house but she does not own the road. Was it perhaps blocking access? In any case selfish woc.
The arrest seems to be more about verbal assault than poor handwriting and grammar.

Dave...if you read the BBC link, you will see that this women has been arrested on suspicion of public order offences, as well the note ::::

"This is not solely about the note," Staffordshire Police said, "the arrest related to matters of verbal abuse"

But if it could have been anyone living along the street, why have the Police arrested this woman only ?
Staffordshire Police said the incident was not reported, but the force took action after seeing details on Twitter.

And this is where we are in 2018
I wonder what they were looking for on Twitter ... probably people typing words or summat
I'm not defending her - she seems a complete waste of valuable oxygen - just musing over a neat way to stitch up a neighbour - should I ever need to, which I don't/won't.
Why do people think they own the road outside their front door ? Public highway..so tough !
Well it is Stoke-on-Trent after all.
OI, JD. I read that ^^ lol
Sunny-dave, she doesn't seem to have the sort of intelligence to play such a trick.
True enough zebo - more DENSA than MENSA I think :+)
Thought I'd get a reaction, Nailit ;)
Having previously lived on streets of terraced houses with no driveways, I can confirm that there is a strange sub-species of home owner that does believe they own the piece of public highway at the front of their house.

I always made a point of going out of my way to park in front of these peoples houses, even when there was a space in front of mine.

In 2003, I was on a training course for a week, at Keele University, and we all went out one night to a Pub in one of the 5 towns....can't remember which.

Apart from a weekend spent in Blackpool, I can't think of a place that would less like to return to.

The Pub that we ended up in was huge and awful, and it appeared to attract a few prostitutes, who made their way around the crowd, unashamedly selling their "services"

At the time, a stray Boxer dog wandered about as well. Like most Boxers he was very friendly. The Manager threw him out, but left the prostitutes !

Bed Pardon to any Stoke residents on here !
Not just terraces, Ludwig - I've seen people with capacious drives deliberately leave one of their own cars alongside their kerbed frontage, to make sure no-one else can park there - some people are very strange.
Sounds about par for the course here in Stoke on Trent Mikey. Or as we call it Joke on Trent.

//Bed Pardon//

Is Mikey still thinking about the prostitutes? ;o)
I remember a teaching colleague from many years ago who hailed from Stoke. He told me, God designed Britain to resemble the human body so he put the *** in Stoke-on-Trent.
