If there are British people who vote for Jeremy Corbyn at any future election, they do so in the knowledge they are voting for a man who has consistently put his own ideology ahead of British interests all his life. Whether it's his embracing of terrorists, disarming our armed forces or cosying up to our enemies, the man is a serious danger to British security....

OG, it appears to be a little more than mud slinging and some (what appears to be) documentary evidence is supplied.
I am still cautious about trial by media but there is enough out there to warrant an official investigation. I can't see how it can go any other way now. If they were just meeting people then fine (although I did note the left were up in arms about The Donald meeting people they didnt like - pots kettles maybe) but if guilty of anything more then it is tantamount to treason and clearly they are not fit for office.
TTT, I think there are quite a few Labour supporters who disagree with Comrade COB's marxist views, those that like us Tories will not vote for a Party just because we always have. Then you have the die hards like Brother Mickey who would vote for a donkey if it had a red rosette on just as there are some Tories who would do the same for a champagne bottle with a blue rosette on!

As for the wider question, I think it says a lot that I actually feel very uncertain about how much damage this will do to Corbyn. Political language in the UK is currently extremely polarised, and neither side seems to have much regard for honesty or the common good. Furthermore, the next election is probably not going to be anytime soon - if he is able to push through this scandal and contest it, I imagine people who are already well-disposed towards Labour will simply allow themselves to forget about this.
It's very, very sad. Neither future presently on offer for the UK looks appealing.

You could not, with a clear conscience, simultaneously claim to be voting in Britain's interest and vote Labour, so long as Corbyn is at the helm.

The Czech Authorities are saying...
// ČTK quoted Svetlana Ptáčníková, who heads the Czech Security Forces Archive, which keeps documents from the now defunct Czechoslovak communist secret service (known as the StB). She said although Corbyn did meet an StB officer — referred to as Jan Dymic in the archives — the Labour leader considered him a diplomat.
“Mr. Corbyn was neither registered [by the StB] as a collaborator, nor does this [his alleged collaboration] stem from archive documents,” Ptacnikova said.
The Czech archive keepers have found signs that the StB tried to prevent Corbyn from discovering the real identity of the Czechoslovak official he was meeting, Ptacnikova said.
Jan Dymic was a cover name, she said, which was not unusual, adding that intelligence officers officially worked at Czechoslovak diplomatic and trade missions abroad. It is believed that Dymic was actually Ján Sarkocy, the third secretary of the Czechoslovak foreign ministry, in charge of “peace movement.”
He was probably meeting Corbyn in his capacity as a diplomat, Ptáčníková told ČTK. He was expelled from Britain in 1989. //

Jan Sarkocy, when asked what information Corbyn gave him replied...
// I’ll tell you this. I knew what Thatcher would have for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and what she would wear next day. //
Corbyn was a backbench opposition MP at the time. He is unlikely to have any access to Mrs Thatcher’s dietry information or her wardrobe 24 hours in advanced. Even if it were true, the fact she had 2 Weetabix and was wearing a blue dress is useful how ?

The alledged spy has now just taken credit for Live Aid. Czeckoslakia funded Live Aid according to the informant. In an interviw with a Slovakian newspaper Novy Cas, mr Sarkocy claimed...
// Through the unions and peace movements, questions were addressed to Nelson Mandela. It is because he and his team have been involved in the preparation of supporting events. We finally made a concert in Wembley. It was funded by Czechoslovakia. //
