My dad always said that if we were ever attacked to shout fire. Because if someone is attacking you and you shout help most people are too scared of being hurt to help but shout fire and people come out with buckets.

Well done that girl! When I was coaching High Jump I always emphasised the importance of the powerful, upward knee drive - and explained how it could be used in tricky situations. :)
