I don't think she's insane, but I do think that Abbott's problem is she is thick.
She has been promoted way way beyond her meagre abilities and I find it truly shocking that if Labour were to win the next GE that she would be the Home Secretary. Diane Abbott in the third most important job in Government - the very thought terrifies me. Tokenism.

But as I have said before, there are large numbers of people in this country who will vote Labour, whatever they propose. Many of them seem to be of the belief that bankrupting the country will only affect the "Rich Tory Toffs" whilst they themselves will remain unscathed. Many of them believe money is provided to them by the government with no idea where it comes from. Many of them have no grasp of economic principles. An ever increasing number have no idea what it's like to live under a real Labour government (last seen in 1979). We should be under no illusion that the prospect of a Labour government is by no means out of the question just because they have Dianne Abbott as the shadow Home Secretary because many who will vote for Jezza have no idea what the Home Secretary is or does.
With the Tory Party failing to enchant its traditional voters (in fact, positively disenchanting many of them) thyere is considerable cause for concern.
