Personally I think it is a great idea, there is nothing more annoying than someone sitting a table speaking in a loud voice, or a date sitting next to you always looking at their phone very off putting I hope this catches on.
What do others think?

i think it an appalling idea, what next customers with kids get freebies, if people can't do without their phones for the duration of their meal, then they should be shown the door.

Jeez Jenny. It's not like they aren't doing it. We just forget. If my OH forgets to leave his key behind then it can't be done as I'm not going to be locked in the house. It's not really a massive problem. We have more important things going on.
