What is the reasons that the paedophiles in question only target Caucasian females and not Asian, blacks etc...?

Short answer may have something to do with Asian men doing the late-night work that whites don't want to (minivans, kebab bars and so on) and vulnerable white women being out late.

If you go out at night in big towns, this is easy enough to spot. White males mostly go out to drink. Asian women are seldom seen.

This isn't to defend their indefensible actions, but it may go some way to explaining them, which is what you asked about.

Yes, link is 16 years old jno but the issue hasn't gone away- there may be more awareness now of the problem and some prosecutions have taken place but the problem is still a big one. I'm sure jahulaye could have found a more recent link but it would still show the same issues.

I suspect quite a number do target their own communities too in the privacy of the family home or business but apart from the occasional prosecution the stories stay within the community.
I think jno is saying taxi drivers are predominantly Asian and the girls hanging out at night are predominantly white, but given there are also lots of white males around in bars etc at night I don't think that fully explains it- although i would agree there aren't many Asian girls out at night to target

a lot of the "victims" of these matters are young teens, below the age when they could legally go out clubbing. when I was that age, my female contemporaries wouldn't have been permitted to walk the streets when taxi drivers are the only nightlife around. what has changed the attitudes of parents so fundamentally that they care not what trouble their offspring get into?

They sometimes target non-Muslim girls from ethnic minorities too, but if you want to refer to the religion of Islam it’s a practice that is, in the minds of the perpetrators, justified. Basically though the men who do this regard white girls as worthless trash – and some mosques and Islamic schools in this country as well as abroad teach them that white girls are worthless trash.

haven't many of these girls been in care homes or fostered, that put the blame as to their whereabouts squarely at the uncaring side of our society.

prison for life, no parole at all, of course that is unlikely to happen but one can only hope.

emmie, some of these girls have been neglected and uncared for but nothing negates the crimes committed against them. Blame must fall fairly and squarely upon the perpetrators. No excuses.

I don't believe we can blame the care system either. They couldn't be held prisoners.

As with any contentious subject the reason is not any one thing.

I think it is a combination of what Jno said about late night workers and vulnerable girls and women as well as attitudes to white women within the Asian community and lack of parental care/control and a plethora of other reasons.

Add all that together and you will always find exploitation.

I would throw away the key as well. I would also stop foreign aid and channel it into better UK agencies to combat a whole host of social issues.

Late night working and vulnerable, neglected girls, doesn't wash. This is solely due to the attitude of these men towards white girls. They are the perpetrators and that is their choice alone. No excuses!

Non Muslims are the kafir so are fair game to them. I believe black people are targeted too if they happen to live in the wrong area.

As far as Asian youngsters many will not be allowed such a free reign and families may pick up on what is happening.

Naomi, where I agree the men are the exploiters and are 100%in the wrong, but if we lived in an ideal world we could walk around naked and no one would bat an eyelid or make a lurid comment or get harassed. Vulnerable people would not be vulnerable because society would take care of them.

But we don't so you have to look at all the reasons why something happens.

The opportunity to exploit will always be there. Even if aAsian men had more 'western' attitudes there would still be exploitation.

Is does mention Asian men hanging around school gates trying to pick up girls as young as 12 though. Perhaps they have special late night schools in Yorkshire. That must be it.
