Salisbury Pm Farce
Sky News 1300 today.
Theresa May says live on TV.
"We are working hard to try and establish who was responsible for the poisoning."
Excuse me if I missed something. I thought the Russian spies were expelled as it was proved Russia was responsible. If they were spies how were they allowed to live in UK?
Boris has softened his tone. Gavin Williamson says to Russia, "Shut up and go away". Really scary stuff from the Government. I'm sure Putin is terrified!

Another view is that the compound has been cloned elsewhere by maybe a different government and administered to Skripal with the intention to attempt to frame the Kremlin.

I suspect they can tell when this stuff was made: it probably wasn’t recently. And I think they can also ‘fingerprint’ it more or less to a particular laboratory. The department at Porton, in combination with various intelligence agencies, have a huge knowledge built up on chemical weaponry. Maybe the Russians underestimated this
I suspect the Russians (or at least the Putinistas) don't give a flying fig about Britain - or about what the rest of the world thinks.
A combination of paranoia and power is a dangerous thing - Putin has both in Spades and is hellbent on waving his metaphorical willy about - we just happened to be in the way this time.
In the current climate, I can't see why *any* Russian citizen with a Diplomatic Passport (or proven links to the Embassy) is allowed to stay in the UK - OK perhaps a token Ambassador and a couple of aides, but all the rest (innocent or not) need shipping back home to the Motherland pdq.

They couldn’t find a large facility making wmd in Iraq so I’d be weary of their claims of technological and biological breakthroughs tbh.

Well, you may believe as you wish, That is your privilege, as I just said to someone else. In this instance it isn't a case of "does X have Y". This is a specific instance of an attack. On our doorstep (in fact inside the house). So comparisons with Iraq are wholly erroneous. This is the equivalent of Saddam Hussain actually using the stuff.
