Along with millions of others, I have much respect for Nigel Farage too; that is if he was included in this pathetic slur, there's nothing slimy or slippery about him at all, in fact, whether you like it or not, what you see is what you get with Nigel, he's one of the most forthright of politicians today.
//The idea for ‘Fishing For leave’ was put forward by skipper Aaron Brown earlier this month, since when he has been supported by a number of very experienced skippers and fishermen’s representatives from as far afield as Shetland, south to Newlyn, and from Fraserburgh across the Irish Sea to Kilkeel.
Before ‘Fishing for Leave’ was even launched, more than 40 vessels, including demersal, pelagic and shellfish boats, had joined the campaign as word of mouth spread around the fleet. This initial strong groundswell of support is expected to rapidly gain further momentum as the campaign was unveiled.//

Sidestepping the antagonism that Mr Lineker appears to create in some posters -
From the evidence shown on the OP link, I see no mockery of British fishermen.
This appears to be an 'in-joke' which has been posted without context, but with a spurious context created and tacked onto it.
Not really worth bothering with.

I was going to say the same thing. It's not worthy of over-analysis. He's seen a rather obvious opportunity to make a caption competition type gag, and done it. That's all.
