Escalating Tensions Between Russia And America Over Syria- Are We All Doomed?

Hi there
I am getting quite disturbed by the tensions between Russia and America over Syria. With America saying that they will act alone on Syria within the next few days, I know Russia wont like that. Could we be heading for a hot war rather than a cold war this is worse than the cuban missile crisis

I bet it's feeling a bit chilly in The Baltics - Russia would love to have all that sea coast back inside the Motherland .

Would NATO go to war to stop it?

If not then it is exposed as a chocolate fireguard ... and what would be next ... Belarus? Ukraine? Poland?

No.
American-backed forces killed 200 or so Russian mercenaries a few months back and nothing happened.
We um and ah and hesitate about Syria's much vaunted air defences, and yet Israel attacks Damascus and Iranian targets seemingly at will and nothing happens.
Sadly, whatever America now does in Syria will be too little too late.
I guarantee that Russia will huff and puff and do nothing. tho.

Russia likes to talk big and tough but since the fall of the Russian block its military has dwindled (by comparison). The US spend Vastly more on defence and arms in a year than Russia do in two or three years. Can't remember exactly but it is a big difference.

Russia, like North Korea, might flex their forearms now and then but they have the teeny tiny snake hips of a sprinter running away. They are both used to being the bully in the playground that shouts loudest and frightening away the other kids without ever having to lay a punch or fight.

I think we are in the early stages of the wars prophesied in the bible.
All of the bits are coming together quite quickly now, and nobody will be laughing when it gets out of hand and that players kick off.

But tbh with the amount of prophecies about the end of days and the start of the end of days when the end of days didn't happen I'm willing to wager it will just be a plain old nuke fest with nothing to do with prophesies.

( strong predestination - not really Christian doctrine as it conflicts with 'free will'. Muslims really hot on this - oops sorry.....)

Surely not! Look at what happened in Syria :-) I think you'd find the immigration problem would get a lot worse, and who's to say that would not be all part of the plan.
He might have trouble annexing Poland, if you look at a map (!)

Poland was part of the Russian Empire for one hundred years as a duchy - ( following the third partition in 1795)
