I'm sure that most people appreciate that the sentence for death by dangerous driving is set at no more than 14 years (I think this was increased from 10 years recently), so that the judge's hands were tied. What they also appreciate is that such sentences are a joke. The law really has to be changed to allow for longer sentences, especially with a record like...

doesnt anyone remember the time Justice Melford ( Mel; Mel-Mel; good old Melly; Killer Mel; Momo mow them down Mel; Hangem Hi Mel Stevenson ( who named his house "Truncheons" erm Judges lodgings I mean ) imposed the death penalty for driving on the pavement ?
