I don't see how they can claim to be finding a balance. How can you balance, "We don't want any of the illegal immigrants you've let in, nothing to do with us", and, "We ought not have to cope by ourselves with all these illegal immigrants we've let in, you all must take some" ?

One can only hope it will hasten the demise of the entire wretched project. But I doubt it. The southern nations (in the main, relatively potless) know what side their bread is buttered and will have to continue to suck up the misfortunes brought about by their geography if they are to continue to receive the trainloads of dosh that make their way south and east daily.

The E.U. is an Old Boys Club and any discussion about single markets and customs union is dwarfed by the unspoken issue of a lack of democracy.

What do the leave voters think about the roumoured cross-party plans to prevent a ‘no deal’ Brexit by apparently making new laws that will hand parliament guaranteed powers to soften any deal and send the government back to the negotiating table?

This leave voter believes government should enact the democratic will of the people, not of their own elected group. That's their job. Plotting to derail the exit merely highlights those who should be deselected next GE.
The only permittable say might be to elect for the 'no deal' exit option instead of whatever concessions the negotiation team made. But IMO the deal hammered out at the negotiation table should be accepted without further voting; and if it contains anything it shouldn't, work to renegotiate after leaving.

Exactly Tora. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it treason but why did you vote to free ourselves from the EU, when our own parliament (note ‘parliamemt’ not government as it’s cross-party) are just as manipulative and in democratic?
And I don’t buy the ‘because we can vote them out’ argument as believing there are some more honest less Machiavellian MPs waiting in the wings is naive in the extreme.

If you don't like the choice of Machiavellian MPs asking for your vote, form your own party of honest folk doing the right thing. If that is impractical, accept the best of alternative options. Which at present is probably campaigning for a landslide UKIP victory prior to any achievement of a genuine break from the EU, then going back to your preferred representative afterwards.
