In your circle of friends, is there the same level of animosity displayed by comments posted here?

Amongst my mates, she pretty much elicits indifference (as does the wedding itself)...so why is there so much animosity shown to her here?

There has never once been a mention of Meghan Markle in my circle of friends.

I'm pretty indifferent. I feel she is being hyped as the 'new Diana', which makes me feel slightly sick. The only reason for dislike I can think of is that she is an actress - and so all public performances are untrustworthy. She'll have to prove herself over the years. I do feel t.b.h. that she'll let Harry down and is playing the part of a Princess. I will not pre-judge, however, Grace Kelly managed it. She is, somewhat unfortunately, very outspoken with her views and needs to learn the Royal Rules! :)

Maybe it's because Harry is a popular young Royal and Megan is a divorced woman with a past, not to mention her role as an actress in a popular US TV series. Difficult to say but her demeanour somehow looks staged.

I wonder where she stands in relation to Camilla Parker Bowles.

A few years ago, she was very badly regarded, and then around the time her wedding, it seemed that the public had begun to warm to her.

Perhaps Meghan just needs time for the British to accept her? I really don't think it's the black thing. That would just be a problem for the very, very far right.

Yes totally agree with you. Also I do think she is a bit long in the tooth LOL - to have to learn to compromise at this stage of her life - she has been so used to doing her own thing in her 36 years of life. Harry looks very vulnerable beside her and "puppy-like".

The real truth about Grace Kelly is that she was far from classy.

As for Meghan, I don't like her but it has nothing to do with her as an actress or black heritage. I'm just not the sort of person who has any interest in the lives of "celebrity".
