if hamas were removed, maybe a peace could begin, israel is not going to disappear or be removed, some may not like it..but you have to get on with your neighbor, even if they have superior fire power, choice is just carry on protesting and maybe be killed, or maybe they think they are martyrs and going to heaven..probably, but still dead and someones loss.

As I understand it, and I might be wrong, Mrs May has called for an investigation, I'm guessing not by us, but by the UN.

I wouldn't be sure that their lives weren't directly threatened. In my opinion there are few Palestinians who would shed a tear at the demise of the whole population of Israel.
