No doubt some future do gooder will try and get her out but she'll have to do at least 12 years. No where near long enough but we can hope that in her case life does mean life.

She won't be sectioned. If a person is sectioned the local council for the area where they live is made responsible for providing free secure accommodation for them for the rest of their life. This is astoundingly expensive so 'sectioning' is very rare.
TTT as she has been given a 'tariff' of 12 years (not a minimum sentence as the BBC says) she can begin the process of applying for parole after serving 12 years.

Fingers crossed she suffers mental health issues and decides to ‘shuffle of this mortal coil’ by her own hand well before the end of her sentence.
I say this because I’d hate to see good money and vital medical supplies wasted on her with her HIV status, there are patients far more deserving of the resources and finances.

Eddie, how can you possibly say she won't be sectioned? Hopefully she is, there's no getting out of a psychiatric unit until you're deemed mentally stable by various doctors. Most patients become institutionalized quite quickly. That aren't going anywhere....
This type of crime needs much tougher sentencing.
