I don't know if this was the story that we can't debate on, but according to the Daily Mail reporting restrictions were lifted this afternoon.

//and keep your stupid opinions to yourself//

opinions that differ from yours you mean??
THECORBYLOON
Since Robinson pled guilty to both charges, breaching the terms of the suspended sentence and contempt of court, I can't understand why folk are questioning the outcome.

Clearly you don't know how the courts work, Corby.
nailit - // Thanks andy...a full and considered response there. But I beg to differ.
Some people (maybe most) have strong beliefs and they would be willing to defend no matter what. Nothing to do with ego or attention seeking, just strong beliefs that you happen to disagree with. Doesn't make it right (or wrong) of course. But there are always multiple ways of looking at things outside of your own belief system. //

I am as in favour of people defending their beliefs as the next person nailit, but I draw the line when defence of beliefs morphs into attention-seeking personally aggrandising ego-feeding, and ultimately illegal behaviour.
//If 'Tommy Robinson' wants not be a prisoner of any kind, it's really simple.

Get a job, raise your children, and keep your stupid opinions to yourself. //

Trite beyond parody. Like Nelson Mandela perhaps?
//But then, I'm not an ego-maniacal attention-seeking self-publicist \\

Sure about that are you, a-h?
nailit - // //and keep your stupid opinions to yourself//

No that's not what I mean at all.

Expression of opinions is enshrined in free speech, I express my opinions all the time.

The difference between 'Tommy Robinson' and I, is that I don't let expressing my opinions lead me into physical violence, anti-social behaviour, flouting the law, and getting locked up for it.
// What do you think about the recent re-introduction of Canon Law ... and its implications for the jury system?//

it is still there and doesnt seem to have moved since 1604
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_law_of_the_Church_of_England

but that is not important right now
///Clearly you don't know how the courts work, Corby. ///

What, exactly, is it that you are trying to say, Talbot?

Barmaid explained earlier today what had happened and I really don't understand why you believe it to be insufficient.
Togo - // Trite beyond parody. Like Nelson Mandela perhaps? //

If you really believe that there is any connection whatsoever between 'Tommy Robinson' and Nelson Mandela, then that is what is trite beyond parody!
Jackdaw - // /But then, I'm not an ego-maniacal attention-seeking self-publicist \\

Yes thanks, and thanks for your concern.
I'm saying TCL doesn't know how the courts work. Or possibly he does and is pretending he doesn't.

//The difference between 'Tommy Robinson' and I, is that I don't let expressing my opinions lead me into physical violence, anti-social behaviour, flouting the law, and getting locked up for it//

Tell that to Rosa Parkes or Martin Luther King.
Because something is the law, doesnt make it just.
TOGO, he pled guilty, if he thought he had done nothing wrong, why would he have done that?
Fine....
Continue being enigmatic but all it is doing is making you look dogmatic and disinclined to accept information from those who know how the court-system works.
TOGO, how do the courts work?
Seems TCL doesn't know how AB works.
//Expression of opinions is enshrined in free speech//
Apparently not, obviously!
The word is 'pleaded', not 'pled'. Sorry to be pedantic in
the absence of the usual suspects.☺☺☺
Left to you AH & press embargo, we might never have known of the current case against these felons. They might have some sharia lawyers to free them to continue their despicable practice of abusing 11y old as ‘easy meat’ !
