Nom, drill music should not be banned. If drill music exists, it’s because it has an audience who relates to it. Banning an art form doesn’t resolve the originating problem. For instance, if we banned The Godfather, Goodfellas, A Most Violent Year and The Untouchables, it would not mean that La Costa Nostra would cease to exist.

I think that some people think that simple solutions will resolve complex problems.

I too thought drill music meant marching bands ! I also believe that the Tories should carry a lot of the blame for taking so many police off the streets, we need a bigger police presence like back in the day. It may not be the answer to all this terrible, terrible rise in crime, but bring the police back and let's give it a try.

Of course they are art forms.

If something is created, whether it is film, music, poetry, dance or whatever - it’s an art form.

Even stuff from your youth, such as gormless smut merchant George Formby or that shrill harridan Vera Lynn could be described as artists, at a stretch.
