Are The Police Scared Of Them?

Why did the police do nothing, are that scared of the lovely law abiding travellers ?, it seems members of this community are free to do what they like with impunity.

A friend of mine lives in St Mary Cray, not too far from Star Lane, which is where the scumbag p.ikey that was stabbed in the course of burgling that chap's house in South East London recently - there's a permanent p.ikey site near Crittalls Corner just outside of Footscray, and when we were 14 or so, so late 80s, they stole my friends dog. The reason we know this is because we went to the site (they were notorious at the time for stealing dogs) to have a nose from the perimeter - there was no way we'd've gone in - and we could see the dog. We plucked up the courage to say so to the p.ikey at the gate, and of course he told us to eff off together with threats of violence. That was the last my friend saw of his dog.

I hate these people with an all encompassing passion. The number of times I have seen them occupy land in SE London, including at a rugby club I'm a member of, and then when they eventually leave they leave the place like an absolute s.h.ithole.

And the police do the square root of F All.

I hate them.

I can think of quite a few words Marval - one of them is the plural of the C Word, which won't get past the filter.

Jackdaw - and therein lies the problem. I have seen on this site over the years some posters suggesting they are nice people. Personally I've never experienced the fluffy wonder bunny nice p.ikeys that they've me, and if my experience in SE London is anything to go by, every single one of them is total scum.

Deskdiary, you are not alone. I remember from my childhood that whenever the caravans hove into view people would rush around the houses shouting, "The tinkers are coming! Lock all your doors!"

Years and years ago, long before I was born, my grandparents owned a succession of public houses, variously in Oswestry, Wrexham and Hampshire. In one of those pubs there was a bunch of travellers who were drinking in there every night for a couple of weeks. One lunchtime a traveller went to the toilet and re-emerged saying, "Bill, mate, you've got a flood in the men's room."

As my granddad went to investigate, said traveller robbed the till of all the takings and a few bottles of spirits.

They are parasites.

It’s a sad time indeed when the general public have lost confidence in our national police forces. They are used as a political expediency by both parties. The very top officers are completely out of touch with our reality’s. The foot soldiers pcs have no real leadership and flounder. Unfortunately unfit for their originally intended purpose.

I think the problem is David they are too scared of political correctness and being branded racists, ive seen loads of police tv shows where the culprits have gone into a travellers site and the police havent followed

I suspect that there are many serving police officers that would like nothing better than to go into certain travelers squatting places, and give them a lesson in better behaviour. But, they would soon be out of a job, if not prosecuted by some of their own. Madness...

The Police are so outnumbered. There is normally less than half a dozen officers and these sites have dozens of men to front up to them, even the kids get involved knowing they are too young to be prosecuted for throwing bricks at officers heads.

No wonder they are scared.

Our local Councillor is 86 years old and he is always on the case as far as the local Traveller's site is concerned. He has more guts than the police IMO
