Are The Police Scared Of Them?

Why did the police do nothing, are that scared of the lovely law abiding travellers ?, it seems members of this community are free to do what they like with impunity.

I mentioned on here previously that the Police are scared of these filth and wouldn't you know it ... it sparked outrage!

I am the son of a late 30 year police officer and I know he would agree with you. At my local hospital the other night were 6 officers dealing with a lady who had taken some pills, all she wanted to do was sleep.

As a young officer I was sent with one other officer to deal with a riot in a pub.Wee coped.

Yes I really do think the police are scared of them. Lets face it to resolve a situation where there is a large trespass onto private or public land there would need to be a large, and I mean very large, force of officers to face down these scum travellers. There isnt the resolve in senior officers to commit resources and it is easier to just let the circumstances unfold and they will eventually move on to be someone else's problem. It also requires a robust update of law to finally admit that these people have no respect for any laws and need to be forced to either comply with the law or be forced to go elsewhere (Ireland?)

i blame it on political correctness and the human rights act, should have sent in any local army regiment and busted heads...with no recourse to the law.

Gladein, see my post at 14.19. When Robert Peel started the police force he laid down what their duties should be starting with the words " The first duty of a police officer is the protection of life and property"

I really think that the police force today isn't fit for purpose.We pay a lot of money via our council tax and we are not getting our monies worth.I recon the people of this particular town are due a council tax rebate.

Let's face it, the overriding reason why nothing was done was because of a fear of being labelled racist, although I fail to see how travellers are a 'race' - they are part of a race, the caucasian race, but they are not a race on their own.

Travellers are utter scumbags without a single redeeming feature. They are human detritus.

"Travellers are utter scumbags without a single redeeming feature" - Oh, I don't know, they will remove your old washing machine from the pavement outside your house within 2 hours which is a lot quicker than the Council -) They do play the race card as heard when they shouted "You *** racist ***" as they were chucked out of a pub I was in one night. They do have distinct DNA as it happens (the Irish ones do, anyway)
