He has a history of objecting to Private Member's Bills......unfortunately.
As far as I understand, he was objecting on a point of procedure, rather than against the bill itself.

Still makes him a twit, though.
he's got a thing about private members; so appropriate
wouldn't that make it upkilting, jno?
If his interest is more about private members then the bill for him would shurely be 'up kilt'.
Ooooooooh. :-)

jim360, not much preocedure needed, unless he's diehard..., upskirting says it all, is this guy on the same planet, makes perfect sense to me...oh wait we have procedure..., carry on pervs, mp just green lighted it
I think his objection that laws made in haste without proper consideration can cause problems (including legal challenges) so he wants the normal process to be followed. I assume he feels in the long run it'll be better to get the law right.
He's a massive idiot, he also voted down Alan Turing being pardoned, same sex marriage, investigations into John Bercow bullying people and a public enquiry into Grenfell. Twonk of the highest order.
As the old saying goes 'One man's twonk is another man's democratically elected representative'.

It's here, it's democracy, get used to it. :-)
It's okay we're all quite used to old straight white men calling the shots and enabling perverts it's been going on for millenia, we can wait a little longer for it to change just now we don't have to shut up about it. Get used to it :)

fiction-factory, point of law...i get it, but dude who uses camera up some poor womans skirt, defence says mmm it was a accident gov, only has a few pics of knickers, in his defence, nothing wrong with womens underwear, infact my client adores them, he is not a garment manufacturer, tut tut infact my client is innocent of looking for undergarments....erm really
You're really going for the leftie pinko (forgot the rest) thing with some gusto, Kval.

You're almost driving me away from posting.

Question Author
also is a thong considered an undergarment...point of law, i digress my client is guilty...well you honor merely a spectator..blub
Shall I keep it up Talbot, do you think you're that close? x
Yeah, I'm a bit of a snowflake really.
Much as we may be dismayed at the Bill being stopped in its progress, let's not confuse the reason for the objection - a point of principle, which it was, with the notion that the gentleman concerned wants to allow this odious practice to continue - which it was not.
Off you trot then into your safe space for a sniffle xx
